Wear OS is shared by multiple watch manufacturers
Google's Wear OS watch directory lists product families beyond Pixel Watch and Samsung: examples include OnePlus Watch 2 and 2R, Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5, Xiaomi Watch 2 and Watch 2 Pro, and OPPO Watch X. Model names matter: different watches from the same brand can run different software.
When a search says "OnePlus Watch audiobook app" or "Xiaomi Watch audiobooks," first identify the specific model and confirm it runs Wear OS before deciding how to install an app.
OnePlus Watch: check the exact generation
Selected OnePlus watches use Wear OS and can access apps through Google Play; OnePlus' Watch 2 product page confirms Wear OS for that model. Do not assume the same is true for every watch with OnePlus branding. For phone-free audiobooks, look for watch-side app installation, local downloads and sufficient storage.
Even if a companion phone app works on Android, the watch must run the supported player and contain the audio. A Bluetooth connection to a phone is not enough once you leave home.
Mobvoi TicWatch: platform and version first
Some TicWatch models, including the TicWatch Pro 5 family, appear in Google's Wear OS directory. Older TicWatch models can use older software or have different app availability. Check the precise OS version under watch settings, then verify that the chosen audiobook app is listed as installable on the watch.
If audio is stuttering during exercise, test with headphones paired directly to the watch and compare playback with the phone out of range. Battery-saver modes can affect a watch's available functions.
Xiaomi and OPPO: the watch name alone is not enough
Xiaomi Watch 2 and Watch 2 Pro and OPPO Watch X appear in Google's Wear OS catalog. Other products sold under the same brands may use different operating systems. For that reason, searching by model and Wear OS version is more reliable than searching only "Xiaomi smartwatch audiobook app."
Before transferring a large audiobook, install and launch the compatible watch player, pair headphones, confirm storage and make one short test download if the app supports it.
A short checklist for any watch brand
- Find the exact model number and operating-system version.
- Confirm Wear OS and the watch app's availability in Google Play.
- Check the player can keep full audiobook content on the watch.
- Choose legally accessible audio compatible with the player.
- Pair Bluetooth earbuds to the watch and test with the phone away.

A note about BookEar GO compatibility
BookEar GO is preparing an optional Wear OS companion for Android. This page explains which devices use Wear OS, not which individual models have passed BookEar GO testing. Do not infer guaranteed support for a listed OnePlus, TicWatch, Xiaomi or OPPO model until it appears as eligible in the released app listing.
